colin stevenson
Tenor...joined the barbershop society at the age of 12. He got into his first quartet at the age of nineteen, and has done much quartet singing since then. He has had the opportunity to have sung all voice parts on the barbershop contest stage, and went to international with Main Street Station quartet in 2008. He has no other discernible skills, and has learned that sometimes you gotta crash the truck to get the insurance money in order to make the truck payment.
Chris Weber
Lead...starting singing barbershop in a high school quartet. He joined the Rockford Metro chapter after college and has sung in Second Opinion and tsunami quartets, which have been Illinois District Finalists. Chris winning the district is astounding, considering he is a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. In fact, he stayed awake the whole contest weekend wondering if there really is a dog. He thanks Colin for his success as a barbershopper.
John Dorgan
Baritone...has sung barbershop for 12 years, but Velvet Hammer is his first attempt at baritone. Prior John has always sung bass, and has been a finalist in the Land O Lakes district quartet Retrospect. "Dorgo" brings a wealth of wealth to the quartet, and we only asked him to be in the group to buy us stuff. He is honored to be considered an "older, less talented version of Colin."
Greg Martin
Bass....brings a wealth of experience to the group. In fact, he sang with Methuselah in his first quartet. Afterward, he sang in the popular comedy group Schizo phonics, earned a 4th place international medal in the seniors quartet Chordplay, and sang for many years with Illinois district finalist tsunami. In addition, he thanks Colin for his success as a barbershopper.
